So Sunday night movie - the plan was to watch a feel-good film that both my wife and I could watch together. Given my Christmas movie binge this weekend, we decided to might as well watch Last Christmas.
I am anyway a sucker for movies with songs. The film seems to have been written with the sole idea of working around George Michael and Wham songs, with Last Christmas being the cherry. Here is the soundtrack playlist. Emilia Clarke (yes of Game of Thrones fame) and Henry Golding (I remembered him from Crazy Rich Asians) are both easy on the eyes.
Clearly, everyone is having fun, when Emma Thompson plays a Croat with a East European accent and Michelle Yeoh plays a nice shop owner with a heart of gold.
The film is nothing to shout about, but we had fun and it was nice listening to all the songs, especially “Heal the Pain”, which I don’t remember having heard before and is quite nice to listen to.
